Winter Weather Health Hazards
A Canadian Winter normally spans from mid-December to mid-March, with January and February being the coldest months. The first day of Spring is March 20th, which is when the weather usually starts to warm up. Let’s hope for a short Winter! Until then, make sure you continue to stay safe. The snowy, icy, cold weather can cause or contribute to many health problems.
How is Your Sleep?
Sleep is directly connected with mental and physical health. It is a time when we strengthen neural connections to store important information and discard irrelevant information. Our muscles undergo repair during this time so they can grow and maintain their strength. Sleep also plays a huge role in the healthy regulation of hormone levels, emotions, and most other areas of our general health.
Protecting our Kids from COVID-19
School is back in session for many. From kindergarten to post-secondary, our students are ready to learn. Unfortunately, school facilities are susceptible to the spread of COVID-19 due to large groups of students and faculty sharing classrooms, hallways and bathrooms.
