GENERAL CLINIC POLICIES

If you are a rostered patient with MD Connected, please bring your health card for each visit. Failure to provide accurate and up to date health card information will result in your claim to OHIP being rejected. Rejected claims are subject to $20.00 administrative fees plus the cost of visit.

Patients/Parents are responsible for accurate and up to date health card information.

Please notify our staff of changes to your mailing address, email address or telephone number.

For emergency care, please call 911 to arrange transport to your nearest emergency department.

Virtual consultations are available for residents in Ontario, Manitoba, and British Columbia. Walk-in clinics are located throughout Ontario for residents to receive care. Use the clinic finder to find one near you.

We are not able to provide services for infants under the age of 1 years old.

TELEMEDICINE AND VIRTUAL CARE

MD Connected is a leader in virtual healthcare. With one of the highest number of virtual visit utilizations on the Ontario Telemedicine Network (OTN), we know virtual care. We have over 4 years of experience conducting telemedicine and virtual visits with hundreds of thousands of visits completed to date. We focus on the patient experience and have the highest standards for our team of medical practitioners. We offer multiple languages, specialty services and locations to assist our patients.

A secure virtual chat consultation with a licensed practitioner is $50 per visit and ailment. This is one of the lowest costs in the industry as our goal remains to make healthcare accessible to all Canadians.

Our hours of operation vary by location. Please use the clinic finder to check for the hours of the clinic near you. We also offer virtual appointments during the following hours:

Virtual care services are open 8 am to 8 pm on weekdays and 9 am to 5 pm on weekends.

MD Connected has telemedicine clinics across Ontario. Please use the clinic finder to find an MD Connected location near you.

For the safety of our patients and team members, MD Connected has temporarily closed or reduced operational hours in various clinics. We invite you to schedule a virtual visit with a doctor by clicking Log In / Register and once logged in you can book an appointment.

APPOINTMENTS

Absolutely! MD Connected’s offers virtual care services to connect you with our doctors by phone or video, from the comfort of your own home. Virtual visits are available anytime between 8 am to 8 pm on weekdays and 9 am to 5 pm on weekends. You can register for a virtual appointment by clicking Log In / Register and once logged in you can book an appointment.

Click Log In / Register and create your free patient account. Once in your account, you can click the Book an Appointment button and complete the process to request a consultation with a doctor.

Yes. Like our walk-in clinics, MD Connected also provides patients with the option for same day virtual visits. To get started click Log In / Register and follow the steps to create an account. Once logged in you can book a same-day appointment with one of our physicians.

Yes. In addition to general consultations, MD Connected can connect patients with specialists for many services by virtual appointment. Specialties include Urology, Pediatrics, Mental Health, Ketamine Therapy for Depression, Internal Medicine, HIV PrEP and PEP, and Sexual Health. Our services are expanding monthly so check back often.

Of course. When registering for a visit, simply enter the name of the doctor you would like to see in the reason for visit area of the registration form.

Yes. Our secure digital platform is compliant with all Canadian security standards including PHIPA, HIPAA, PIPEDA, and PCI to protect your private information. Our video consultations are encrypted, and the content of the video is never recorded or stored anywhere.

If you selected a phone consultation, it is important that you check the privacy settings on your phone to ensure that you can accept private calls. In some cases, the number the doctor is calling from may appear as private and it is possible it was rejected by your phone’s settings.

In the event you missed the chat, call, or video appointment, please email us at mydoc@mdconnected.ca or message us on the chat in the bottom corner of the website and we will be happy to assist.

During registration you will be prompted to add the details of your preferred pharmacy. Once the consult is complete, and if you were provided a prescription by the doctor, your prescription will be faxed directly to your listed preferred pharmacy.

MD Connected also offers home prescription delivery. Simply opt-in for this service during registration and your prescription will be delivered right to your door from our accredited pharmacy partner.

REQUISITIONS AND RESULTS

All medical documents will be sent to the email provided during registration. If you do not receive your medical document on the same day of you consultation, please email us at mydoc@mdconnected.ca and we will gladly assist.

If you have not been contacted about your lab or imaging results it is very likely that we have not received them yet or the results were negative. To inquire, please email us at mydoc@mdconnected.ca.

MD Connected offers consultations in numerous languages including English, French, Italian, Mandarin, Farsi, Hindi, Punjabi, Urdu, Gujarati, and Arabic.

WAIT TIMES

MD Connected has industry leading wait times due to our large roster of medical practitioners. However, wait times will vary by location. To get an estimate feel free to message us on our webchat.
