We know finding a family doctor is not easy for many Canadians. As a matter of fact, the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development ranks Canada 23rd out of 32 countries in doctor-to-patient ratio. With only 2.32 doctors per 1000 patients in Ontario, it is estimated that 1.8 million Ontarians don’t currently have a family doctor. This has been a growing problem for decades but has become a more pressing issue as the population ages and the healthcare system is pushed to its limits.

This is why effective February 1st, 2023, MD Connected is launching our new Family Health Practice to better serve you and our communities.

MD Family Health is a family practice that will add you to our roster of family doctors so you can access healthcare when you need it. Become a rostered patient with MD Connected by registering yourself and your family to our enrolment list to determine eligibility.

If eligible, we will contact you to schedule a meet and greet with one of our friendly family doctors. During this meeting a doctor will discuss your medical history, plan, and goals. With MD Connected, you will be provided with the ability to speak with a doctor virtually or in-person!

You are eligible to enrol in MD Connected’s family practice if you have a valid OHIP card and you are not already rostered to another family health practice. You must also live within 100km of an MD Connected clinic in case a physician needs to see you in person.
